Driveway Pavers
Driveway pavers create a distinctive exclamation point to a new home. They take to the next level the look of an existing home with a plain concrete or asphalt drive. Pavers make an immediate statement about quality when installed as the entrance to your office or business. You’ll be delighted to learn this crowning touch is well within your reach.

We don’t ask for your business without fully demonstrating what we will deliver. What’s that adage about how much a picture is worth? Wait until you see photos of our award-winning landscape designs.
We take you beyond photos
- Computer technology and software now allow us to create a drawing – a map if you will, of how your driveway pavers design will look at your home or office.
- We offer next-generation design imaging (DI). We will create for you an overlay of the design over a picture of your home or commercial building. It’s as if it was already installed and we took a picture.
Designed for durability and long lifeOne way to think of driveway pavers is as “segmental concrete”.
- The stones are four times stronger than poured concrete.
- “Segmenting” the pavers enables them to flex when cars drive or sit on them.
- Creating roads out of segments is an ancient idea. The Romans did it, and some of those roads are still around today!
- The Dutch use interlocking concrete to make their roads flex. Holland is below sea level and the ground shifts, moves and sinks. Poured concrete cracks under these conditions. Pavers were first called, “Holland stones” and still are today.
- The city of North Bay, Ontario, Canada built streets and sidewalks with pavers 20 years ago and without any need for replacement.
Perfect for drivewaysThe composition of driveway pavers makes them resistant to fuel and oil spills –essential for driveways. The surface is skid and slip resistant. It’s cooler than concrete and heat up significantly less than asphalt. You can even use them to pave a graded drive. If there is a problem under the stones, they are easily taken apart so the under-surface can be repaired. The original pieces are then put back together, eliminating any patches that don’t match. Newly-laid or re-laid surfaces can be used immediately.
Return on investment
- Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavements (PICPs) are eligible for energy-efficiency tax credits because they limit runoff and water pollution by managing storm water.
- PICP can also meet the requirement to reduce urban heat islands, minimizing impact on microclimates and in wildlife habitats.
- Tax credits are an “instant rebate” on your investment.
- Lack of maintenance costs and the long life of driveway pavers mean they pay you back over time. For homeowners it increases the resale value of a home. For businesses, this is definitely a cost effective capital expenditure.
If they’re made of concrete, why are they stronger than poured concrete? Driveway pavers are made of a very dry mix of gravel, sand, cement and color (called aggregate). They key is very little water. The less water used, the stronger the concrete. Poured concrete must pour, so it contains a lot of water and is weaker. Paver aggregate is also subjected to pressure to bind the aggregate.
So versatile! Once you see the grace and functional elegance you’ll want to add this beauty to walkways, patios, pool sides and entrances to commercial spaces. Since we are landscapers, we can expertly advise how to complete your home paver upgrades in steps, to suit your budget.
